On December 14, 2025, H.E. Mr. Mustafa Madbouly, PM of Egypt, held a grand launch ceremony in Aswan Province, announcing the official operation of the Kang Ombo Photovoltaic Power Station, in which Hengtong proudly participated. 

 Covering an area of 10 km2 with an installed capacity of 500 megawatts, the Kang Ombo PV Power Station is expected to reduce some 760 tons of CO2 emissions each year. 

 Thanks to its large-scale PV project expertise and localized Hengtong Optic-Electric Egypt Co., S.A.E. and services, Hengtong won the entire power cable package from the project’s EPC contractor China Energy Engineering Corporation Ltd. In so doing we are proud to further involve ourselves in the sustainable development of Egypt and the MENA region.
